Norwegian Cruise Lines Donates $250,000 To Develop Resources For New Travel Agents

The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), a global association composed of travel professionals and advocates, has announced that Norwegian Cruise Lines has invested $250,000 to fasten the development of the association’s education and training programs for new and aspiring travel agents.

As a whole, ASTA programs expand the number of working travel advisors that are in tune with the needs and wants of the modern-day traveler.

ASTA President Zane Kerby said, “If someone is interested in becoming a travel advisor, they first have to understand the landscape of our industry and the variety of pathways available to them.”

Norwegian’s investment will further develop and market the association’s online-based educational and training materials. These materials will help new agents understand their options within the industry and offer a complimentary step-by-step guide if they choose to dig deeper into a potential travel advisor profession.

“Our new and complementary Becoming a Travel Advisor resource has been updated to reflect the variety of options available for those interested in selling travel,” Kerby concluded.
